The University of Zagreb (1669) is the oldest and biggest university in South-Eastern Europe. The University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture (FAZ) is the leading institution in the field of agriculture and related sciences in Croatia. FAZ is continuously trying to acquire, develop and transfer knowledge in order to educate our students, scientists and experts. This enables us to enhance the production of food, industry, management of natural resources, and the development of the rural and urban environment, as our contribution to the total quality of living in the national and global framework. Since the academic year 2005/2006 FAZ has started with new study programs harmonized with the Bologna Process; undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate doctoral and specialist studies (3+2+3) (180+120+180 ECTS). The FAZ teachers and researchers are involved in implementation of basic, development and applied research projects, and actively participating in professional collaboration.
Role of UNIZG in this project will be to set up working groups and to develop working concept. Organization of the opening conference and training, preparation of consortium agreement, and memorandum of understanding will be performed by UNIZG. UNIZG will prepare and distribute questionnaires, make reports on LL potentials at institutional and national levels, and a case study. Institution will participate in a workshop in Sarajevo; in cooperation with other partners, will prepare Regional guidelines and national strategies, will participate in a round table, in a meeting in Osijek, and the final conference in Tirana. UNIZG will participate in teacher training, designing of pilot activities, and courses' curricula. Institution will create, distribute and collect student questionnaires. UNIZG will be in charge for the project's promotion. As the project coordinator, UNIZG will have the main responsibility considering project activities, and creation of Interim and Final reports.
